This is an article you can not pass up!

Gods amazing miracles are not just for the book of Acts. They are alive and real and being played out all over the face of this world. For the locals here in Sacramento a miracle was handed to them and then added to the daily news. Two gentlemen from my church, John Allen and Bro Danny Walker we just coming in from a day of fishing when a man came running up to them with tears streaming down his face screaming, "I can't find my wife, I can't find my wife!" Bro Allen and Bro Walker turned their boat around and headed out again coming upon an object in the water. There they found the woman, deadly purplish blue, swelled up and already stiff. They took her to shore and 911 was called. The operator attempted to to explain the method of CPR but John Allen would have nothing to do with it, he is such a man of God, and not a quieted one at that, began to do the only thing he knew how to do, PRAY. Over ten minutes went by before help arrived, but by then the woman had already began to cough up the mirky water and talk to the men who saved her. Death had proclaimed her body and it was evident it had several hours before yet God, who stepped beyond death many years ago, gave life and raised her up before the eyes of the witnesses. How could you not share such a story!

Bored Silly

Well...its Wednesday night and Elk Grove has closed down. All residents are dreamily drifting off to slumber land. Everyone except the Midnight Spa Bandits!
Beware to those attempting to sleep you will be prosecuted. All organized pizza parties will be raided!

I was enjoying a quiet evening at home in my jammies and the cutest slippers. Face mask and whitening strips, working on my writing when Joey decided to come over. There goes my evening...I ran and got dressed and then he gets the big idea "Hey "paint" my face, I want to be a mime." 20 mins later everyones' face was "painted" and we were at the Jones trying to scare them. Try being met with a pizza cutter, its quite an experience! It was just one of those boring Wednesday nights!

One of a kind..three of a kind

There is something about having a friend that you can share everything with. A friend you can argue with; yet love even more because of it. A best friend you can tell your secrets, your sorrows, and share your joys. Few can find a true friend that is there no matter what life may bring, who is not only there to listen, but there to walk with you and go through the storm by your side to ensure you make it out strong. I am so proud to have two incredible sisters who have been there through thick and thin. We have laughed together, fought each other, and in the end have learned to cling to each other. Ayla...Tamsen....Thank you for being such incredible lil sissys'! I am so proud of you both!

Free at last!

After 20 months of wires, colored ties, pain and manipulation of the jaw, April 25th, 2007 will forever be a monument in my life! Though there comes a sorrow with the loss of a close "friend" I will forever be indebted to my nearly two year companion and orthodontist. At 8:40am this morning I was free of my chains called braces! WOO HOOO!! I am very much excited about the change and am pleased with the results! I just want to give a public thank you to Dr Gregory Adams DDS and his incredibly talented staff! You make me Smile! =0)

Your secret place...A Psalm 91 Experience

Have you ever looked into the mirror and noticed how odd the world you stand in looks in that object of glass? It reflects your present world, yet everything is different, the left is now the right, and the right becomes the left. Have you ever imagined yourself drifting beyond the glass and entering that reflective world and looking back? What an experience that would be! This adventure would, in a spiritual sense, "mirror" the presence of God. The Bible states we see through a glass darkly. We see our present situation, and know God has a plan and a purpose, but we don't see the purpose nor the true expected outcome. But when we come into the presence of the Holy God, things that looked dark and dreary, become purposeful and grow bright. In the presence of God; we are still in our same room, the tangible things are still within our reach, yet the world takes on a new and different light. The storm around us still rages, but we have a protection, the eerie darkness surrounds us, but light illuminates our souls, fear reaches to grasp our minds, but a powerful existence binds and gives peace. It is here you have not only stepped into the world beyond the glass, but into an intimate place of peace and love, your own secret place with the most high.

Psalm 91 clearly proclaims that, "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high, shall abide under the shadow of the all mighty!" What a time of refreshing~ Have you visited your secret place today?

Sincerely,
a.rose 2007

Happy Easter!

Many German writings streching back to the 1500s express the origin of the easter bunny we now display in windows and in local grocery stores; announcing the beginning of the Spring season. The hare and the rabbit are known as one of the most fertile animals alive and serve as a god to many religions as the symbols of new life. Americans were first introduced to the easter bunny by the Germans closer to the 1700s. The arrival of the "oschter haws" was considered to be "childhood's greatest pleasure". Each year the children would build a nest in a secluded place in their home or surrounding gardens. There the boys could be found neglecting their best caps, and girls their precious bonnets, to return chasing away the field bunnies to find that the "oschter haws" had layed a glorious, beautiful nest of colored eggs. The eagerly awaited chocolate bunny, first made its appearance in the 1800s, made simply out of pastry and sugar. The easter bunny has became a beloved character amoung children and elders alike.

But the true story and celebration reaches far beyond the 1500s and begins in a time we have only been able create from buried artifacts. The history of Easter reaches far back to the days of the Romans mighty rule and the Jewish sacrifices. It is there that the Easter story was birthed. In a secluded stable a virgin gave birth to a humble man child. This child grew and displayed the ultimate sacrifice of unconditional love. Jesus marveled the listeners and charmed the children, yet was beaten and hung upon a splintered cross, envisioning far beyond his present situation and looking directly into the eyes of a simple Californian girl. Knowing the pain life would bring, not only to her, but to those surrounding her, he died to save her soul. Hebrews 9:22 states"...without [the] shedding of blood [there] is no remission." He gave His life so we could have the opportunity to be born again. He not only saw me, and gave me hope, but he saw each one of you who read this. In essence that is the whole reviving feeling of new life that spring has given to us each year. Flowers bloom and turn their heads to the out reaching sun, and frozen stagnant waters become rushing rivers of life. I am so thankful on this beautiful Good Friday! "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall(promise) not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16

In the hustle and bustle of colors, pretty grass, and chocolate bunnies, take time to stop and reflect on the true meaning of our celebration. Consider who has given you the breath you breathe and the lives you now hold in your arms. God Bless you on this Glorious weekend, and may you always be filled with the refreshing life only a God as amazing as Jesus Christ can bring. Happy Easter!

Sincerely Yours,

Well...Hello World... Im Back!

Well... I am sitting here at my desk at work sipping a tall glass of ice cold sweetened tea thinking about all the important stuff I could be/should be doing, and how long it has been since I visited my own blog site. Pathetic... I know! My time over the last few weeks have been a collaboration of tears, laughter, and adventure. No Limits came upon me and just about crumbled me, friends coming in from all over the world(HI Canada) and work escalations piled up, I have simply been under a pile of mess, called stress since March 1!! Its just the benefits of being young, I hope! Sincerely, No Limits was awesome, one of the most awe striking conferences I have ever attended. Lives were changed, minds renewed, and Churches revived. It was a time of renewal for pastors and saints alike. The 11th marked a day in history, a day of Dedication, the day we offered our hard work, our time, our sleepless nights and weary minds, to God. The New Rock Church Sanctuary was Dedicated to God in the presence of over 1200 saints and Homecoming pastors. What an experience!

Sadness and loneliness can overwhelm a person, especially when they have been deprived adequate sleep for over 3 weeks. But tears of pain soon turned to tears of joy when I received the phone call on Wednesday the 14th! "You have a plane ticket to Canada the 16th at 5:10pm, be there, hope you have a passport and can get off work!" WOO HOO Passport? Major stress test...Passed! San Francisco never was lovelier, even after spending all day in the passport office! I had the time of my life, I was able to relax, have such a good time and create memories, which includes surprising Angie in the middle of the night, that will last a lifetime.

My weeks have been stretched beyond compare, yet they run together in a distant blur...As reality begins to settle I now reflect on my priorities and realize, IM BEHIND! =) Time goes on and once again I am in the groove of the music of life, almost on beat, give me a few more days!

I have so much to include in this post, but both time and your attention permit me to continue on my random creation of words. I will once again be updating my blog with many new and mind evaluating quotes, stories and inspirations within the upcoming months. Hope you are doing well, God Bless and don't forget to offer a Smile!
Sincerely Yours,
a.rose

Welcome Home Hero!

Local captain faces bittersweet homecoming

Some waited patiently, others could not sit still while waiting for five soldiers to arrive at the Colorado Springs airport. As the uniforms came into view, the emotions rushed out.
But it was a bittersweet homecoming for Air Force Captain Kevin Lombardo. After spending eight months in Iraq, he arrived to see the faces he loves, all except one. His two-year-old daughter Chloe died a year ago, after she and her brother swallowed prescription pills they found in the medicine cabinet.
"It's been very difficult, but thankfully I have my wonderful family here," Lombardo's wife, Billie, said. "I couldn't ask for better friends, they helped me get through this."
Lombardo came home after his daughter died, but just a few months later he was back in the middle east. He says "It's absolutely fabulous after seven or eight months being gone, just to be home with friends and family. Absolutely incredible being home," he said.
While she couldn't be there to welcome her daddy, Chloe was close to the hearts of everyone there. The Lombardo family said they hope others will remember Chloe, and what brought the ending to her short life.

How do you measure up?

Is it not amazing how in a body, that is made up of nothing but chromosomes, as individual as they are, can come together, seperate, and then fuse together again to create a human life. Just imagine with me for a moment, pieces, hundreds, maybe even thousands of pieces, independent and secure; But when brought together in unity and on one common ground, they become a masterpiece!!

Now apply that to your spiritual walk with God and in the church... ;)

Sincerely Yours,

Your daily quote

"Only those who dare to fall greatly can ever achieve greatly" Robert Kennedy

If there is anything that my mentors and elders have taught me is "dare to dream". Reach higher heights and if you fail, get up again and reach higher. You never know what great heights your Heavenly Father has in store if you only attempt to do the impossible.

When there is failure fall on your face before God, for there is strength for the next climb on the bended knee!

A Thoughtful Prayer for Your Day

I may never see tomorrow
There’s no written guarantee
The things that happened yesterday
Belong to history

I cannot predict the future
I cannot change the past
I have just the present moment
I must treat it as my last

I must use this moment wisely
For it soon will pass away
And be lost to me forever
As part of yesterday

I must exercise compassion
Help the fallen to their feet
Be a friend to the friendless
Make an empty life complete

The unkind things I do today
May never be undone
Any friendships that I fail to win
May nevermore be won

I may not have another chance
On bended knee to pray
And I thank God with humble heart
For giving me the day

StRaNgErS

Strangers are not always considered invited guests, whether it be into your home, your personal conversation or your physical and spiritual life. A stranger in a physical form may become your best friend within that year; or they may become your feared foe. You never know who God will send to help you make it that extra step in life. Strangers present themselves in many shapes, sizes and color. Ugly, pretty, rebelious and clean. An uninvited guest will leave when you simple ask it to excuse itself, right? In most cases, the answer is NO! Once seated at your table they begin to execute their purpose. That stranger may come in physical form, or he may come in a spiritual form. Loneliness, depression, pain and even fear. They enter our homes, lives, dominating our minds and holding us as victims on their playing field. At that moment we have but two decisions to make. I can let this stranger frighten me and control me or I can accept it and learn from its intended games. C. Myles Young, a well known psalmist and minister once said that "When adversity comes, you know you are in the purpose and will of God" So when the devil, adversity, depression and fear knock at your door, do not dwell in its grasp, but instead turn and grasp it, give it to God, let that opportunity of loneliness create in you a relationship with the Heavenly Father that you never would have other wise been able reach. Learn to stand on His word, fight back when the spirit of fear enlarges itself. Your stranger of evil will never be your friend, but when he sneaks in the window or through the door remember he left it open. Open for The Peace, The Healer and The Way maker to come in and take control.

"Strangers are simply opportunities for a miracle called friendship" a.rose 2006

A daily thought:

WITH MONEY YOU CAN BUY A HOUSE,
BUT NOT A HOME

WITH MONEY YOU CAN BUY A CLOCK,
BUT NOT TIME

WITH MONEY YOU CAN BUY A BED,
BUT NOT SLEEP

WITH MONEY YOU CAN BUY A BOOK,
BUT NOT KNOWLEDGE

WITH MONEY YOU CAN SEE A DOCTOR,
BUT NOT GOOD HEALTH

WITH MONEY YOU CAN BUY A POSITION,
BUT NOT RESPECT

WITH MONEY YOU CAN BUY BLOOD,
BUT NOT LIFE

WITH MONEY YOU CAN BUY A MOMENT OF PLEASURE
BUT NOT TRUE LOVE

BUT GOD:
~THE KEEPER OF THE FAMILY
~THE CREATOR OF TIME
~THE REST IN A WEARY WORLD
~THE CREATOR OF KNOWLEDGE
~THE GREAT PHYSICIAN
~THE HIGH AND LIFTED UP
GAVE HIS LIFE, HIS BLOOD, EXPRESSED THE ULTIMATE LOVE, TO PURCHASE OUR SALVATION!

How do you see it?

Have you ever been standing right next to someone and still are looking frantically for them? Maybe you even bumped into them, apologized and kept moving, in desperate attempts to find them! Comic, but still a fact that is true. This morning I was reading in Matthew on the birth of Jesus...I came upon Matt. 2:2 where the wise men ask Herod, king of Jerusalem, "Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." Herod in total shock calls in his scribes, who read from the Holy Scriptures of the birth of a child that will be the savior of the world. A troubled, prideful man that Herod was sends these wise men to find the child so he too can worship him(sarcastic). Then upon hearing that the men totally dis him, he sends his army out to kill every male child under the age of 2. Now think about it for a moment. The star, scriptures, signs, a big HELLO! Right?! This is how I see it....Herod, like a average human was so caught up in himself and the things that concerned him that he missed the biggest happening right outside his city. Yet three men, total strangers, who probably met each other on the way, see a star from the East and set out on a journey to find out what the star was all about. When you are in the darkness of this world and have no purpose other than to please yourself, you miss the light that shines right before you. Just as the person you actively seek, the greatest miracle is right in front of you. God is shining and sending willing souls to break that darkness and allow you to reach out and receive it for yourself. It is a light that gives you purpose, hope and unconditional joy...So evaluate yourself and consider the outcome...Now how do you see it?
